CBC launches nationwide hunt for new ‘Fashion File’
Wednesday September 20th 2006TORONTO (CP) _ Calling all fashionistas, from Halifax to Vancouver: the CBC wants you as its new "Fashion File" host. "Fashion File: Host Hunt" will travel across the country testing hopefuls on their knowledge of fashion and style to replace longtime host Tim Blanks, who is stepping down as the voice of the influential show after 17 years.
After stops in Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver, 10 finalists will then compete for the job that takes viewers behind the runways of the biggest fashion shows in the world and inside some of the most influential design houses on the globe, including Chanel, Prada and Gucci.
The CBC is holding auditions in the following cities on these dates:
Halifax _ Sept. 27, auditions at 10 a.m., CBC Television Building, 1840 Bell Rd.
Montreal _ Sept. 29 and Sept. 30, auditions at 10 a.m., CBC Montreal, 1400 Rene Levesque Blvd. East.
Calgary _ Oct. 2, auditions at 10 a.m., CBC Calgary, 1724 Westmount Blvd. N.W.
Vancouver _ Oct. 4 and Oct. 5, auditions 10 a.m., CBC Vancouver, 700 Hamilton St.
Toronto _ Oct. 10, Oct. 11 and Oct. 12, auditions at 10 a.m., CBC Toronto, 250 Front St. West.
