    The Canadian Filmmakers Festival (CFF) marks the end of its fourth year with record-high box office sales and numerous sold out screenings at the Varsity and Carlton Cineplex Odeon Cinemas. The Festival, which ran from March 22nd – 25th, 2007, is presented by Schweppes and is the only Toronto film festival dedicated solely to the celebration, advancement and promotion of Canadian film.

  • CBC and the NHL sign new deal which includes video streaming

    The CBC and NHL announced a new television deal today that will keep Hockey Night in Canada on the air until 2014. The six-year broadcast deal, which includes national English-language broadcast and multimedia rights to NHL games in Canada, will begin when the current agreement between the CBC and the league expires after the 2007-08 season.

    Renowned rock trio RUSH are pleased to announce their Snakes & Arrows World Tour. The tour will kick off in North America on June 13th at Atlanta’s HiFi Buys Amphitheatre and will visit over 45 cities throughout the United States and Canada before traveling to the UK and Europe.

    The Japanese broadcaster Fuji TV sued former dot-com luminary Livedoor on Monday for US$292 million in damages over losses it absorbed after buying a stake in the since-disgraced Internet portal company.
