LUNENBURG, N.S. (CP) _ The Nova Scotia-based tall ship Picton Castle has turned pirate for Survivor creator Mark Burnett’s newest reality-TV series.
A spokeswoman for the ship, Susan Corkum Greek, says they were in discussion with the producers of Pirate Master for close to a year before making the announcement.
She says they did make changes to the ship’s appearance including a black hull, figurehead and a cabin _ but not to her name.
Pirate Master will premiere May 31.
For 33 days, contestants dressed as pirates will live aboard the 55-metre square-rigged barque.
