Scandal. Suicide. Murder. "Hidden Palms" Premieres Wed. May 30th, 2007 on Citytv

(TORONTO), Discover what lays beneath the surface in the town of Palms Springs, with the new, dark drama “Hidden Palms”, premiering Wednesday, May 30th, 2007 at 9:00pm ET / PT on Citytv.

Johnny Miller was a happy, well-adjusted, 15-year-old with good grades and a roomful of sports trophies – until the terrible night his father committed suicide.

Unable to cope with his father’s sudden death, Johnny drowned his pain in alcohol and drugs. Now, fresh out of rehab, Johnny struggles to deal with an uncertain future in the surreal district of Palm Springs, where his mother and new husband have decided to make a new start. On the outside, Palm Springs is a shimmering paradise of resorts, swimming pools, golf courses and country clubs, but paradise isn’t quite what it seems on "Hidden Palms".

Johnny quickly learns the secrets that lie beneath the surface of this seemingly typical neighbourhood, forcing him and his family to ask the question: how well do you really know the people who live right next door? As Johnny adjusts and tries to fit into his new hometown, he begins searching for answers surrounding a friend’s mysterious death and learns that growing up, may be the biggest mystery of all.

A NEW drama from Writer/Executive Producer Kevin Williamson ("I Know What You Did Last Summer”, "Dawson’s Creek”), “Hidden Palms” has a more serious feel than “The OC” and incorporates mystery, conspiracy, tragedy and beauty, all at the same time. Starring: Taylor Handley (“The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”) as Johnny Miller, Michael Cassidy (“The O.C.”), Amber Heard (“Alpha Dog”), Sharon Lawrence (“NYPD Blue”, “Desperate Housewives”), D.W. Moffett (“Nip/Tuck”, “Crossing Jordon”), Gail O’Grady (“NYPD Blue”, “American Dreams”), Tessa Thompson (“Veronica Mars”) and Ellary Porterfield.

"Hidden Palms" is a Lionsgate Television production, in association with Outerbanks Entertainment and Executive Producer Scott Winant ("Huff," "My So-Called Life").
