  • ACTRA Re-Elects Richard Hardacre

    The governing National Council of ACTRA has re-elected Richard Hardacre as National President for another term. Hardacre is Past President of ACTRA Toronto and has been a member of ACTRA’s National Council for 11 years. Hardacre shepherded the 21,000-strong ACTRA membership through its first strike, which lasted six weeks beginning in early January, 2007.

    From a tent on the floor of the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Conference in Las Vegas to buzzing in the ears of the production gurus worldwide, the RED ONE camera is creating a lot of buzz since its magnesium cast prototype made its debut early this month. Scheduled for delivery at the end of the year, two hundred of these cameras were pre-ordered on its first day and a half on the scene.

    After months of planning and discussion, Image Pacific Broadcast Rentals (IPBR) and Image Central Broadcast Rentals (ICBR) announced that their much anticipated 4 Camera High Definition Airpack will be ready to fly July, 2007.
