Woody Allen’s new film to screen at TIFF

TORONTO (CP) _ Woody Allen’s new movie "Cassandra’s Dream" will screen at next month’s Toronto International Film Festival.

Shot in London, the film stars Ewan McGregor and Colin Farrell as two brothers looking to improve their troubled lives.

Meanwhile "Across The Universe," the latest film from Julie Taymor, who directed "Frida", will also be shown at a festival gala.

Featuring a performance by U2 frontman Bono, the film tells the story of two star-crossed lovers during the 1960s and features classic songs including "Hey Jude," "I Am the Walrus," and "All You Need is Love."

It also stars Eddie Izzard, who has made a splash on TV this year on "The Riches."
