ARRIFLEX 235 Gains Speed!
Thursday August 23rd 2007The award-winning ARRIFLEX 235 has quickly become a standard in the cinematographer’s toolbox. Now, the camera which has been highly praised for it’s small size and light weight is even better with a speed upgrade of up to 75 fps. After much development with the camera’s motor, movement and magazine, it was determined that by optimizing all operational parameters (and months of rigorous testing) we were able to increase the maximum forward speed of the 235 to 75 fps.
To name just some of the more interesting applications, the ARRIFLEX 235 has been attached to Formula 1 racing cars, body mounts, hand gliders, bicycles, weather balloons, snow boards, parachute helmets, jet fighters, frozen time rigs and in a double-pack shooting configuration for an IMAX 3D film. It is ideal for handheld, Steadicam, remote heads, car mounts or as a handy camera to quickly grab a shot.
Not only will all new 235 cameras be shipped with the speed upgrade, it is also possible to upgrade already shipped cameras. For more information, contact your local ARRI Service Center.
