CBC gets broadcast rights to concert honoring Mandela

TORONTO — The Canadian Broadcasting Corp. has acquired the Canadian broadcast rights to Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday bash from London in June.

The public broadcaster will air a shortened version of “46664 Concert Honoring Nelson Mandela at 90” from Hyde Park on concert day, June 27.

The CBC will then air the historic concert, to be hosted by Will Smith, in its entirety on June 28.
