Vancouver — Toronto’s much-loved Doc Soup screening series will launch this fall in Vancouver and Calgary. The series, an off-shoot of the Hot Docs film festival, showcases Canadian and international documentaries and also brings in guest directors to introduce the films and conduct post-film question-and-answer sessions with audiences. The screenings regularly sell out.
Hot Docs has partnered with the Whistler Film Festival and the Calgary International Film Festival to offer the series in Vancouver and Calgary. Screenings in Vancouver will run from October to March at the Pacific Cinematheque. Calgary’s Doc Soup will run from November to May at the Cineplex Odeon Eau Claire Market. Subscription packages are available for both series. Details are at http://www.docsoup.ca.
