Rogen at the Golden Globes

Canadian actor Seth Rogen will join Salma Hayek, Jennifer Lopez and Amy Poehler as presenters at The 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards, which traditionally kick off the annual awards season. It had been previously announced that Simon Baker, Drew Barrymore and Sacha Baron Cohen would also be presenters.

In a world darkened by seemingly endless grim financial news, this glitz and glamor gala promises to brighten the new year. It is expected that the show will be seen in more than 150 countries worldwide. The Golden Globe Awards, which are pesented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, is one of the few awards ceremonies that cover achievements from both the television and motion picture industries. Just one highlight to look forward to is the presentation of the highly coveted Cecil B. DeMille Award, which wil be given to Steven Spielberg for his “outstanding contribution to the entertainment field.”

This has been quite a year for writer and actor Rogen. He costarred in The Pineapple Express and Zack and Miri Make a Porno, as well as leanding his voice to the animated features Horton Hears a Who, King Fu Panda and The Spiderwick Chronicles. The 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards will take place Sunday, January 11th at The Beverly Hilton with a live telecast beginning at 8:00 p.m. Eastern on NBC. The show is produced by Dick Clark Productions in association with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
