Breakthrough for Canadian outfit

Canada’s Breakthrough Entertainment has licensed several series to buyers in the U.S., Europe, Asia and Australia.

Twenty-six half-hour episodes of “Plastic Makes Perfect” have been acquired by Fine Living Television in the U.S., Coign Media in South Korea, and broadcasters in Norway, Denmark and Finland. Season two will air on Slice Network in Canada in spring.

Twenty-six half-hours of “The Re-Inventors” have been acquired by ABC in Australia; 13 half-hour episodes of “Manic Organic” have been licensed to Chello Multicanal in Spain; and 26 half-hour episodes of “Fishtronaut” have been sold to Turkey and Al-Jazeera Kids in the Middle East.

“Science of the Senses” has been licensed in South Korea, and drama series “Paradise Falls” lands in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.

Toronto-based Breakthrough is the distribution arm for Breakthrough Films and Television and Breakthrough Animation and Partners in Motion, in addition to third-party producers. It has a library of more than 2,100 half-hours of programming.
