Deluxe taps Rick O’Hare

Rick O’Hare has joined Deluxe Entertainment Services Group as senior vp, studio account management and operations. O’Hare, who began his career with 20th Century Fox/DeLuxe Labs and most recently served as director and co-founder of Backlot Imaging, will manage Deluxe’s relationships with studio clients and will also service major accounts across all divisions.

“Rick’s exceptional operational experience, along with a deep understanding of both the filmmakers’ and the studios’ needs, will be of great benefit to Deluxe as the business evolves across new digital platforms,” said Warren Stein, COO North America, Deluxe Entertainment Services Group.

“I began my career at Deluxe under the legendary Bud Stone. Cyril Drabinsky and Warren Stein have not only preserved his legacy but taken Deluxe to an entirely new level. I am thrilled to be back,” O’Hare said.

At 20thCentury Fox/Deluxe Laboratories, when Deluxe was owned by Fox, O’Hare was vp of administration for Deluxe and executive in charge of Fox Worldwide Technical Services and Fox Movietone News.

In 1981, he built and operated Deluxe’s first video postproduction company, Deluxe Video Systems, before going on to form Film-Video Masters.

O’Hare has also served as senior vp of digital distribution for Sony Pictures Entertainment, advising the company on the convergence of digital technology and content distribution, heading worldwide product fulfillment and implementing the company’s multi-million dollar content digitization initiative.
