OMDC call for applications

OMDC has launched a call for applications for The Entertainment and Creative Partnerships Fund, a program of the Ministry of Culture, co-administered by the Ontario Media Development Corporation.

The Fund assists Ontario’s Entertainment and Creative Cluster stakeholders in the commercial theatre, film and television, interactive digital media, music, book and magazine industries by supporting strategic partnerships that develop fresh approaches and solutions to the priorities and needs of the cluster.

The Program Guidelines Package is available on the OMDC website (http://ww.omdc.on.ca) – under Programs / The Entertainment and Creative Partnerships Fund.

NEW this year:

  • Applications must be submitted via the OMDC Online Application Portal (OAP). This is a new application process and all applicants are strongly encouraged to commence their applications early to allow for enough time should technical difficulties arise and/or assistance be required. 
  • Prior to commencing an application, your Organization’s corporate information must be registered. If this has not already been done, you should register as soon as possible by going here and clicking on ‘Register’
  • If you encounter problems setting up your Organization’s corporate information, you can email applyhelp@omdc.on.ca for assistance.  This email address can also be used for any technical questions you have about the OAP.

Information Sessions
Two information sessions have been scheduled to provide interested applicants with the opportunity to learn more about this program and also have their questions answered regarding the Online Application Portal (OAP). It is strongly recommended that interested applicants attend one of these sessions.

The information sessions will be held on the Fifth Floor, 175 Bloor St. East, South Tower, Toronto – NOTE: this is a new location for the Information Session, and is directly across the hall from the OMDC offices.

Date: Friday, May 28, 2010
Time: 3.00pm to 5.00pm

If you are interested in attending this session please sign up by clicking here. Registration will close at 2:00pm on Thursday, May 27, 2010. Unregistered guests will only be accepted if space permits.

Date: Monday, May 31, 2010
Time: 3.00pm to 5.00pm

Deadlines
The application deadline is 5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 29, 2010. Applicants must be pre-qualified by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 to apply to the program.
