Geneva Film Co. launches Lexus into the third dimension

Geneva Film Co., a leading producer of stereoscopic 3D commercials for theatre and television, announced it will take luxury automaker Lexus into the third dimension later this week with the launch of the brand’s new “Pitch” campaign for the Lexus LFA.

The commercial is Lexus’s first foray into the world of 3D. It is also the world’s first automotive brand to leverage 3D as an advertising medium.

The spot, which will open for Paramount’s new 3D release “The Last Airbender,” was created by Team One. It showcases the Lexus LFA’s ability to generate a tone to break a champagne glass. The 3D version of the spot was produced in Toronto by Geneva Film Co’s founder producer/director James Stewart. The spot, entitled “Pitch” will be distributed to US theaters through the NCM Cinema Network – the nation’s largest digital in-theater network. A 2D version of the spot can be viewed via this YouTube link.

The Lexus LFA project follows on the heels of Stewart’s most recent 3D work for Sprint which launched in May with Shrek Forever After.
