Canada’s D Films takes ‘I’m Still Here’
Tuesday August 31st 2010TORONTO — Canuck distrib D Films has nabbed rights to “I’m Still Here,” Casey Affleck’s profile of Joaquin Phoenix.
Following its out-of-competish world preem in Venice, “I’m Still Here,” Affleck’s directorial bow, will play Toronto Sept. 10, the same day as its limited theatrical release Stateside. Pic will open in major Canadian cities Sept. 24.
The deal was negotiated by D Film’s CEO Jim Sherry and Magnolia international sales exec Laird Adamson.
