    Some of the most powerful players in Hollywood were in town for the opening of the 10-day Toronto International Film Festival Thursday night. The event, now in its 35th year, has become one of the most important and prestigious stops on the film festival circuit. Helen Mirren has two pictures in this year’s festival, which she considers one of the most important in the business. It will be an exciting week and a half for stargazers with the likes of Clint Eastwood, Nicole Kidman, Woody Allen, Marion Cotillard, Robert De Niro, James Franco, Rachel Weisz, Ellen Page, Clive Owen, Robert Redford and John Hamm in town, to name just a few.

    Cinematic heavyweights Clint Eastwood, Robert Redford and Woody Allen are set to blow into town this week, the eye of the Hollywood hurricane known as the Toronto International Film Festival. They’ll be joined by Brit director Danny Boyle, who is back with the mountain climbing drama 127 Hours after ruling the 2008 festival with eventual Oscar winner Slumdog Millionaire.
