Hasbro sells shows to Canada’s Corus

Hasbro Studios, the Los Angeles-based production and distribution division of toymaker Hasbro, has sold a package of programming to Canuck broadcaster Corus Entertainment.

The shows will air on Corus’ youth-skewed cable channels including YTV, Treehouse, Nickelodeon (Canada), Teletoon and Teletoon Retro (the latter two are co-owned by Corus and Astral Media).

Series include “Transformers Prime,” “My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic,” “G.I. Joe Renegades,” “The Adventures of Chuck and Friends” and “Pound Puppies.”

“Corus Television marks the first of many international distribution agreements that are designed to create Hasbro’s immersive brand experiences around the world,” said Hasbro Studios prexy Stephen Davis.
