Comweb Corp. and William F. White announce appointments

Toronto, Canada - Paul Bronfman, Chairman and CEO of Comweb Corp. and William F. White International Inc. (WFW), have announced the appointments of Rick Perotto to the position of Vice President, Business Development and David Hardy to the position of Vice President, Client Services.

In this new role at Comweb/WFW, Rick Perotto will be leading the companies’ business development efforts on a national level as Comweb/WFW continues to pursue industry leadership and excellence.

Rick Perotto joins Comweb/WFW following a 13 year career as a Business Representative of I.A.T.S.E. Local 667, representing over 900 members in the motion picture industry across six provinces from Ontario to Newfoundland. Prior to this, he was president of the local union for five years while working as a freelance First Assistant Cameraman on hundreds of television productions and over 30 feature films including “Good Will Hunting” and “Sea of Love.”

A long supporter of skills training and advanced learning, Perotto sat on the Board of Governors at Sheridan College Institute of Technology for over four years and was influential in the formation of the Screen Industries Research and Training Centre at Pinewood Toronto Studios.

In 2001, Perotto co-founded FILM ONTARIO and currently serves as Board Secretary of this successful organization through which he regularly promotes film and television productions within the province.

David Hardy comes to Comweb/WFW in the position of Vice President, Client Services after a decade of service as a Business Agent for NABET 700 CEP, a union that has represented film and television technicians in the Greater Toronto Area for over 30 years. In that capacity, he has been a key member of their management team while representing their interests on the board of FILM ONTARIO since 2005. Hardy is also a current Board member of the Cultural Careers Council of Ontario and the Toronto Film Board.

At NABET, David was integrally involved in the union’s collective bargaining process in addition to training and recruitment. He also brings significant on-set experience to this role having worked for several years as a freelance Production Coordinator.

“Both Rick and David are highly respected industry veterans who will be a tremendous asset to our management team,” said Paul Bronfman, Chairman & CEO, Comweb Corp./WFW. ”Their combined experience will be instrumental in helping us implement and accomplish key strategic initiatives with respect to business and client development.”
