A Dangerous Method hit TIFF opening weekend

Mr. X was excited to see David Cronenberg’s, A Dangerous Method released on the opening weekend of the Toronto International Film Festival.

A Dangerous Method had already received rave reviews from its premiere screening at the Venice Film Festival on September 2, 2011. It’s a gripping story of dark desires and dangerous intellect, starring Viggo Mortensen (as Siggmond Freud), Michael Fassbender (as Carl Jung) and Keira Knightley (as Sabrina Spielrein).

Set in the early 1900s, the visual effects team at Mr. X was responsible for recreating and enhancing the period feel of the film. Delivering 125 shots of stunning Matte Paintings, CG environments, CG ships and seamless set extensions in early January we have been eagerly waiting the TIFF release.

Mr.X has had a long successful relationship with Cronenberg, working on his previous films; A History of Violence and Eastern Promises, while currently in production on Cosmopolis (2012).

MR. X specializes in feature film animation and visual effects. Recently completed work includes The Thing (Universal Pictures) and The Three Musketeers (Summit Entertainment) which hits theatres in North America on October 21st. New projects include Silent Hill: Revelation 3D (Sony), Cosmopolis (Prospero Pictures), The Twillight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I (Summit Entertainment), Pacific Rim (Legendary Pictures) and Resident Evil: Retribution (Screen Gems), Mama (Universal Pictures).
