Sim Video appoints three execs
Thursday September 29th 2011Toronto, ON - With demand growing for Sim Video and Bling Digital equipment and workflow services and, on the heels of recently expanding into Atlanta, Georgia, Sim Video International Ltd. has promoted three senior staff members to its Executive Management Team.
John DeBoer, Director of East Coast Operations has been appointed the position of Chief Operations Officer and will be responsible for company-wide procedures, purchasing and engineering. In addition to his COO duties, John will also function as the General Manager for the Sim Video Toronto office.
Jim Martin, VP of West Coast Operations and New Business Development has been promoted to Chief Strategy Officer and will lead Sim in all global sales strategies as it pertains to equipment advances, expanded geographical opportunities and market trends. Jim will also be responsible for growing the sales/marketing team while continuing to manage operations on the West Coast and in the US.
Chris Parker, who heads up Sim’s workflow services division Bling Digital, has been named Chief Technology Officer. He will be responsible for identifying, experimenting and implementing new technology to ensure our clients benefit from the most current and efficient systems available to the motion picture and television industry today.
John DeBoer, Jim Martin and Chris Parker join CFO, Alex Sandahl, Co-Founder, Peggy Sim and President and CEO, Rob Sim who round out the executive team.
“Over the years, these individuals have worked tirelessly to push our company forward. They are extremely accomplished in all that they do and I am pleased to announce their promotions,” said Rob Sim, President and CEO. “I am confident that we’ve put together a strong team of talented professionals who understand our corporate vision and, who will lead Sim Video well into the future.”
