Convergent Design’s Gemini 4:4:4 wins TVB Europe Best of Show Award
Tuesday October 11th 2011Convergent Design’s Gemini 4:4:4 won the TVB Europe Best of Show Award at the IBC show in Amsterdam. Since its introduction in April 2011, Gemini 4:4:4 has received four prestigious awards including the Vidy Award (Videography Magazine), Pick Hit Award (Broadcast Engineering), the Mario Award (TV Technology), and the most recent, Best of Show Award (TVB Europe).
The debut of Gemini 4:4:4 at IBC 2011 was met with a steady flow of visitors to the Convergent Design stand, with particularly steady interest in the upcoming ARRIRAW and 3D options. As a result of the show, Convergent Design now intends to extend the RAW support to include the popular WeissCam format.
“We are thrilled to receive TVB Europe’s Best of Show Award for our Gemini 4:4:4 recorder. We believe the combination of low power, weight, size and cost will open many new opportunities in cinematography and high-end television production.”
