And the winner of the 2014 Junos is … Winnipeg.

Canada’s premiere music awards will return to Manitoba’s capital after nine years, local government officials are expected to announce Thursday morning.

The 43rd annual Juno Awards will presumably be handed out at Winnipeg’s downtown MTS Centre, also the setting for the 2005 awards ceremony. As always, the gala caps a week-long series of events that includes Juno Fest music showcases, the Juno Cup hockey game, a Juno Hoops basketball game, a Fan Fare, a Songwriters Circle and more.
