  • CBC Calls for Branded Content Ideas in New Entertainment Development Program

    The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation is opening its doors to independent producers and marketers who want to be a part of the CBC’s daytime programming schedule. The public broadcaster has launched its Branded Entertainment Development Initiative, and it is letting content creators and brand managers be part of the creation and development of new daytime programs. The CBC wants new show ideas to incorporate strategic partnerships with outside brands, in an effort to create revenue and content opportunities that go beyond traditional broadcast business models.

    MIPTV will honour six renowned international television executives with the inaugural MIPTV Medaille d’Honneur awards. The new awards, launched on the occasion of the event’s 50th anniversary, recognises outstanding contributions to the international television business and leading roles in developing the global TV community. The MIPTV 2013 Medaille d’Honneur awards will be presented by Reed MIDEM CEO, Paul Zilk , during the MIPTV 50th Anniversary Gala dinner on Wednesday April, 10, at the Carlton Hotel in Cannes.
