  • Bell wins CRTC approval to purchase Astral Media

    Bell has won regulatory approval for its second bid to buy Astral Media (TSX:ACM.A) and its coveted suite of TV speciality channels and radio stations in a deal worth $3.4 billion. The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission announced its decision Thursday after markets closed. The CRTC rejected Bell’s initial bid for Astral last fall, saying it wasn’t in the best interests of Canadians.

Technicolor Toronto is thrilled to be back as the shows complete post facility, housing all of the services at one location starting with on-set digital dailies, final colour, foley, ADR and sound mixing, as well as providing marketing materials through to digital uploads directly to Netflix through Technicolor’s Localization Services in Montreal and Los Angeles.
