William F. White Int’l Creates Canada’s Only Coast-to-Coast Telescopic Camera Cranes Company

Paul Bronfman, Chairman/CEO of Comweb Corp. and leading equipment provider, William F. White International Inc. (Whites), is announcing the closing of a new partnership with Telescopic Camera Cranes Ltd., creating Canada’s largest, full-service camera cranes company, Whites Telescopic Camera Cranes Inc. 

Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Telescopic Camera Cranes Ltd. (www.technocranecanada.com) houses the largest fleet of Technocranes in the country, which is also one of the biggest in the world.

As of July 31, 2013, Whites Telescopic Camera Cranes Inc., (Whites Telescopic), will retain Telescopic Camera Cranes’ existing management team while continuing to offer a superior level of service to the industry.

Whites Telescopic is now the only company of its kind to offer Technocranes on a national scale.

Telescopic Camera Cranes Ltd. founding partners Andrew Mulkani and Barrie Wells will continue in their respective roles as President and Vice President of the company which will remain in its present location, conveniently close to William F. White’s Vancouver facility. 

“Andy and Barrie bring a widely-respected and long-standing reputation around the world for excellence in their craft,” said Paul Bronfman. ”I’m delighted to have them become part of the Comweb Group of companies.”

“Technocrane is the world’s leading industry brand for telescopic camera cranes,” states Barrie Wells. “Through Whites Telescopic, clients across Canada will now have unhindered access to the best, most comprehensive and wide-ranging fleet of telescopic cranes in the world.”

The company’s fleet is thoroughly maintained in-house by expert technicians and includes the SuperTechno 50, SuperTechno 30 (both the Technovision and the Orion versions), the Technocrane 20, Techno 15, and the Technodolly. Adding to this stellar line-up, Technocrane has other leading-edge products in development and manufacturing stages.

This initiative is part of the company’s ongoing commitment to expand its specialty equipment arsenal while offering the latest products and technologies. The company will also continue its mission to be the first in Canada to provide cutting-edge, state-of-the-art filmmaking tools which will help clients achieve maximum on-screen production values.

The acquisition follows Comweb/White’s previously announced $20 million investment in new production technologies in addition to a $40 million financing agreement with BMO Financial Group. It also follows the company’s recent rebranding of CinequipWhite Inc. to Whites Digital Sales & Service Inc.
