    “With the rules we are announcing today, Canadians, as citizens, will have access to the news services that are of interest to them and will therefore have an opportunity to be exposed to a variety of opinions on matters of public concern.” The CRTC previously rejected Sun News Network’s bid for a guaranteed spot on basic cable and satellite services — known as “mandatory carriage.” Such a designation would have forced cable and satellite companies to carry the network on all basic digital and analog services.

    Paul Bronfman, Chairman/CEO of Comweb Corp. and leading equipment provider, William F. White International Inc. (Whites), announced that the Company has completed its acquisition of Location Equipment Supply Inc., (LES Inc.) creating the country’s only single-source solution for professional production equipment and location support services.  Paul Potvin will continue in his role as President of the company he founded in 1994 which will take on the new name of Whites Location Equipment Supply Inc. (Whites LES Inc.) as of today and will retain LES Inc.’s existing management structure.

    The director James Cameron will make three sequels to his 2009 sci-fi blockbuster Avatar in New Zealand, he announced on Monday. Cameron made the announcement in Wellington with producer Jon Landau and New Zealand’s prime minister, John Key. The films will be made by Lightstorm Entertainment and Twentieth Century Fox.[…]

The addition of these new stereoscopic services comes off the heels of our recent 2013 Client Survey which revealed a very high interest in having better access to these specialty camera systems. It was just the push we needed to finalize a service partnership with Cinesail Owner and Director of Photography, Glen MacPherson to represent his rigs and portable solutions.
