Stewart Aziz named to lead Clairmont Toronto

When Clairmont presented Stewart Aziz with an opportunity to join the Clairmont team, the parties realized instantly how great a fit this would be. With over 30 years in the Film business, the last 16 culminating as VP Marketing with competitor Panavision Canada, “Stew” was the best possible choice Denny Clairmont could have made.

Stew has excellent grounding for the role; 15+ years as an A/C-Operator with 667 and a long successful tenure inside some of the most proficient and acclaimed camera departments over that term, all while building a knowledge base replete with an encyclopedic knowledge of camera bodies, lenses and camera support that in itself changed dynamically over the last 15 years as the digital revolution ensued.

Stewart looks forward to a smooth transition from a business model built on proprietary camera lines mixed with a few outside lines to Clairmont; a business with multiple brands that is built around a core of state of the art optics & outstanding customer service. He is looking to grow with Clairmont’s four sister offices; Hollywood, Vancouver, Albequerque,NM, and a new operation planned for Atlanta.

The near-term plan? Land more Commercial, Feature and Television work for Clairmont Toronto.

Clairmont Toronto is well equipped to service every size of project, up to and including upper-echelon domestic and international productions.

With a strong staff of Camera technicians; Clairmont is already known for it’s own various signature lens applications as well as a superb selection of the latest glass, both spherical and anamorphic.

Manufacturers carried by Clairmont Toronto: Leica, Cooke, Zeiss, Angenieux, Fujinon, spherical kits to name a few – along with the latest anamorphic lenses from Arri/Zeiss, Hawke, Cooke and Angenieux. Complementing this vast array of lenses is a full line of the latest cameras: Arri Alexa, Red Epic, the new Red Dragon as as well as Sony F65, F55, F35, F5, Canon C500 & C300 as well as the high speed Phantom & Weisscam .

The extensive and well stocked core inventory is no surprise especially given Denny Clairmont’s pedigree in optical design.

So…bottom line…Stew brings forward his relationships in the Motion Picture Camera sector to join those already built over the years by Clairmont’s, ’boutique styled business model’ Both parties are already recognized for their customer service and ability to deliver. It’s a win-win for central and eastern Canada and congratulations are in order!
