Whites lights up the TIFF Bell Lightbox with VIP rooftop reception
Tuesday September 23rd 2014Whites shone a spotlight on the Canadian production industry at the TIFF Bell Lightbox once again for its annual VIP reception held on Tuesday, Sept 9th. Over 300 of the industry’s top movers and shakers graced the now famous rooftop patio set to the backdrop of a picturesque Toronto skyline to celebrate what has been yet another powerful year for the Canadian production industry.
Adorned in true Whites fashion with White silks lining the walls, flat-screens, historic set pictures, black and white balloons, and an assortment of signature classic rock, the venue was transformed into a warm red carpet celebration befitting an industry that creates an abundance of world-class content.
Guests of the exclusive event were treated to an array of mouth-watering h’ors d’ oeuvres and signature cocktails while mingling with well-known media personalities and celebrities. The highlight of the night came when Whites’ Chairman/CEO Paul Bronfman led a spirited sing along of ACDC’s “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap” which invigorated even the most timid of partygoers. Also on-hand to lend their support to the festivities were Canadian funnyman Colin Mochrie with his wife Deb McGrath, actors Julian Richings, Art Hindle, Producer Don Carmody, Toronto Film Commissioner & Director of Entertainment Zaib Shaikh and City of Toronto Deputy-Mayor Norm Kelly.
