Lionsgate To Answer Call For Eli Roth-Keanu Reeves Thriller ‘Knock Knock’; $3 Million Sundance Buy

In the latest strong Sundance distribution deal, Lionsgate is nearing a $3 million acquisition of the Eli Roth-directed sexy thriller Knock Knock. There were eight offers, but this one’s close to closing. Roth wrote the script with Nicolas Lopez and Guillermo Amoedo. Reeves stars with Lorenza Izzo, Ana De Armas, Aaron Burns, Ignacia Allamand and Colleen Camp.

Reeves plays a married man whose family is away. Two beautiful young girls fill the void and turn a wild fantasy into his worst nightmare. CAA and Cassian Elwes brokered the deal for a film that has been a hot buzz title since it premiered Friday in the Midnight section.

It’s an interesting time for Reeves, who had a definite win in John Wick. The film also features breakout performances by the young temptresses played by Izzo and De Armas. This one has been in talks all last night and today, and I hear you could see Roth doing his deal-making while skiing at The Lift. He has a long history with Lionsgate, so this seems like a strong fit.
