William F. White Int’l Inc. Continues Rapid Expansion with Major Investment in New Equipment and Technologies

Paul Bronfman, Chairman/CEO of Comweb Corp. and leading equipment provider, William F. White International Inc., today announced another major investment in new production equipment and technologies as the company continues its national expansion program which commenced in 2010.

The 2015 investment of $15 million will allow the company to continue in being the first in Canada to bring new technologies and products to market while accelerating product growth and innovation. This represents the largest single investment in the Company’s 52 years of operation. 

Since the rebound of the Canadian production sector in 2010, the company has invested $40 million on recent inventory upgrades and acquisitions from top manufacturers including new LED lighting, lensless HMI Par systems, new high-speed camera support vehicles, camera cars, TechnoDollies, and Super Technocranes in addition to conducting research and development toward high-speed imaging. 

“With stable, engaged management and ownership, we’re continuing to invest in our core business,” declares Bronfman. “This capital will provide us with the additional resources to help accelerate growth while we continue to leverage our market leadership position across the country. We remain committed to empowering Canadian and international producers with expanded product and service offerings that are complementary to our core business while fueling the future growth of our industry, and this growth is driven by adding value to our clients. We will continue to be owner-managed and focused on what we do best, delivering the highest quality production tools and technical expertise to content creators across the country.”

This endeavor follows Comweb/Whites’ recent $1million investment in the new Calgary Film Centre, expansion into Sudbury, Ontario in addition to its acquisitions of Telescopic Camera Cranes Inc. based in Vancouver, which was rebranded Whites Telescopic and Location Equipment Supply Inc. based in Toronto which was rebranded Whites Location Equipment Supply Inc. (Whites LES).
