William F. White Int’l sponsors Shaw Media Diverse TV Director course

The National Screen Institute – Canada (NSI) has announced the support of William F. White as a service sponsor for the Shaw Media Diverse TV Director course run in association with NSI.

As an in-kind sponsor, Whites is providing $15,000 in lighting and grip equipment for scene shooting over three days during the directors’ bootcamp in June.

“We’re grateful to William F. White for their commitment to NSI,” said John Gill, NSI CEO. “We’ve been fortunate to work with Whites over the years on many of our programs, and now they are stepping up again for this important new course.”

“We at Whites are committed to the development and growth of the next generation of screen professionals,” said Paul Bronfman, Chairman/CEO of Comweb Group and William F. White International Inc. “We are proud to continue our support of diverse Canadian talent on set.”

Shaw Media Diverse TV Director is designed for participants with directing experience who are interested in making the leap to directing scripted television series.

This is an advanced two-phase diversity training course for up to four directors who are female and/or Aboriginal (male or female) and/or a visible minority (male or female) and/or a person with a disability (male or female). The program includes an intense bootcamp in Toronto and a four-week director job shadowing experience on the set of a series in production.
