Dan St. Amour to Retire From Whites After Nearly 23 Years of Consecutive Loyal Service
Thursday March 17th 2016Paul Bronfman, Chairman/CEO of Comweb Corp. and leading equipment provider, William F. White International Inc. (Whites), has announced that Dan St. Amour will be retiring after nearly 23 years of consecutive loyal service to the company.
“On behalf of everyone here at Whites, I want to express my appreciation for Dan’s years of loyal service to our great company,” states Bronfman. “He is a first-rate leader who, throughout his 23 years of exemplary service, spearheaded some of our most successful endeavors. A more committed, passionate and caring employee you will not find. On a personal and professional level, I will miss Dan dearly.”
Dan began his career with Whites Toronto in 1994 as a Package Truck Driver and in 2001 was named Manager, Commercials, a position he held for nearly a decade. During that time, he helped establish a personal connection between the company and on-set production professionals, providing service excellence while earning a reputation as the “go-to-guy” for Whites’ commercial clients. In 2011, Dan was named General Manager, Whites Toronto, where he oversaw daily operations and in 2013, he was promoted to the role of Vice President, Commercial Production Services.
“Dan is a passionate and accomplished leader whose customer service and operational excellence will be greatly missed,” said Whites Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer, Paul Roscorla. “He is a committed individual who was always reliable and accessible to the industry and our staff. I want to thank Dan sincerely for his many impressive contributions.”
Over the years, Dan’s proven leadership, great ideas, boundless creativity and entrepreneurial prowess have helped elevate the Whites brand significantly. His many other great achievements include the 2009 launch of Whites Interactive, an initiative which helped the company earn additional trust and respect from many emerging filmmakers through the creation of an affordable, portable and efficient production vehicle. In 2013, he spearheaded the launch of Whites’ Mini-Mobile Package Truck, harnessing the latest in cutting-edge technology for mid-range shoots.
Dan also helped Whites make its foray into Northern Ontario’s burgeoning production sector with the 2014 launch of Whites Sudbury where several notable productions have already been shot including the critically acclaimed feature “The Witch,” Crave TV’s first original series “Letterkenny” and “Cardinal,” an upcoming 6-part series produced by Sienna Films and eOne Entertainment. That same year, he was responsible for the successful test and launch of Whites’ new High-Speed Package Truck, revolutionizing the company’s fleet of commercial package trucks.
“It has been a true privilege to work for Whites, an industry leader with a reputation as one of the great companies of our industry,” said Dan. St. Amour. “I want to thank all of my colleagues who have stood by me through thick and thin, especially Paul Bronfman and Paul Roscorla for having the confidence in me to lead special projects while helping to nurture my career each and every step of the way. I will miss my Whites family dearly. I look forward to putting my feet up at the cottage for a few months, building myself a camper van and then I’m going to go for a long drive.”
Dan will officially retire on May 27th.
