CSC Awards announces its 2017 nominees

The Canadian Society of Cinematographers (CSC) announces the nominees for its 2017 awards.

When the Bough Breaks’ David Moxness csc ASC and Game of Thrones’ Gregory Middleton csc are among a group of 39 cinematographers vying for top honours at the 60th CSC Annual Awards.

Awards will be handed out in 18 categories at the CSC Gala being held April 1 at Toronto’s Arcadian Court and hosted by award winning actor and comedian Patrick McKenna. Moxness is nominated in the Theatrical Feature category along with Maudie’s Guy Godfree csc and Larmes de Satan’s (Tears of Satan) Ali Reggab csc.

Middleton is nominated in the TV Series category along with Robert MacLachlan csc ASC who has double nominations, one for Ray Donovan and the other for Westworld. Also in the category are Beauty and the Beast’s David A. Makin csc and 12 Monkeys’ Boris Mojsovski csc.

Moxness received a second nomination in the TV Drama Category for Dead of Summer “Patience” along with Gridlock’s Pasha Patriki csc and Anne of Green Gables’ Ousama Rawi csc BSC.

This year’s special Honourees are David Green csc ASC, who will receive The Masters Award for his “outstanding contribution to the art of cinematography”, while Toronto International Film Festival founder Hendrik Van der Kolk will receive The Bill Hilson Award for his “outstanding service contributing to the development of the motion picture industry in Canada.” Guido Kondruss will be honoured with The President’s Award “recognizing his extraordinary contributions to the CSC.
