TORONTO, /TO411 DAILY/ — Hamilton officially entered the film production world this month with the grand opening of Steel Work Studios, a 20,000 square foot production facility in Toronto’s east end.

Owned by a group of five partners, the studio is geared for all aspects of production including feature films to corporate videos.

It currently features two state-of-the-art editing suites, an in-house casting agency, and additional equipment supplied by PS Production Services Ltd.

The opening ceremony was well attended and featured opening speeches from the Mayor of Hamilton, the Ward 4 councilman, Lowell Schrieder (Marketing Manager of PS Production Services) and two of the principals of the company, Kathy Ali, Vice-President of Publicity, Promotion and Production, and Hugh Dickinson, CEO.
