Harvey Weinstein will host the closing banquet for the inaugural Asian Film Summit at the Toronto International Film Festival.
The summit will also feature a film financing panel with Bruno Wu of the Seven Stars Entertainment, Stuart Ford of IM Global and Kenneth Tan from Media Development Authority Singapore, as well as a global talent panel featuring ICM’s David Unger, Andrew Ooi of Echelon and Loeb and Loeb’s Stephen Saltzman.
Other top industry execs set to participate in the Asian Film Summit include Michael Werner of Fortissimo Films, Ellen Eliasoph of Village Roadshow Asia, Jeffrey Chan of Bona Film Group and sales exec Kini Kim of CJ Entertainment.
Asian directors to attend the summit include Mira Nair, who will be bringing The Reluctant Fundamentalist to Toronto, Isabelle Glachant (11 Flowers) and Lemore Syvan (Man of Tai Chi).
Toronto previously announced that Jackie Chan will be the guest of honor at the inaugural Asian Film Summit.
