  • City of Toronto teams with TUFF on new cash award for local filmmakers

    The Toronto Film & Television Office (TFTO) has teamed with the Toronto Urban Film Festival (TUFF) to create a new award for budding Toronto filmmakers. The “Naish McHugh Award for Emerging Filmmakers” features a $2500 cash prize for local filmmakers working in the ultra-short format, in either film, video or animation. Named after the city’s first film commissioner, the award celebrates the 30th anniversary of the TFTO.
