PS Production Services Ltd. announces changes to corporate management team

Douglas Barrett, president and chief executive officer of PS Production Services Ltd. (PS) has announced the hiring of Eleanor O’Connor as senior vice president of strategy and operations, and the appointment of Rae Thurston as executive vice president and chief operating officer.

O’Connor joins PS from a multi-national competitor, where she held the position of vice president, Canadian operations. Ms. O’Connor will be a key contributor to the development and implementation of the company’s overall strategic and operational direction.

“In the past few weeks I have had the opportunity to determine who I would most like to work with,” said O’Connor. “The management team at PS impressed me hands down with its incredible level of professionalism and its commitment to service quality.”

For many years O’Connor has been a respected and seasoned senior executive in the British Columbia film and television industry.

“With Eleanor joining PS at a national level we will benefit from her skills and experience in all of our markets,” said Barrett. PS chairman and founder Doug Dales added, “We are thrilled that someone who so ably competed with us is in the past is now able to join our team.”

In addition to the hiring of O’Connor, Barrett announced that Rae Thurston has been appointed as the company’s executive vice president and chief operating officer. The promotion of Thurston to chief operating officer is an acknowledgement of the tremendous contribution he has made to PS over the past 15 years.

“Rae is the most knowledgeable person I know in this business and is hugely respected by all our employees. This was the right time to acknowledge his stature in the company and the industry,” said Barrett.

Based on the new management structure announced today, PS aims to provide a strengthened approach to
customer service across the country.

“We have a wonderful team at PS and I’m proud to play a leadership role in it. With El Joining PS, it just got a whole lot better.”
