    Fashion maven Jeanne Beker, the TV series Flashpoint and the big-screen theatre company IMAX are being honoured with special prizes at this year’s Canadian Screen Awards. They are among eight recipients of Academy Special Awards, given to “remarkable people and productions that have made their mark in the film, television and digital media industries.” The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television, which runs the Canadian Screen Awards, says Fashion Television founder Beker will receive an Academy Achievement Award for “exceptional contributions to the Canadian television industry.”
