Actor Brad Renfro found dead at 25
Wednesday January 16th 2008Actor Brad Renfro was found dead in his Los Angeles home early Tuesday, according to his lawyer, Richard Kaplan. The cause of death was not immediately known. Renfro had experienced struggles with drugs and alcohol for some time.
The actor, who appeared in "Apt Pupil" and "The Client" as a child, was 25.
Renfro served 10 days in jail in May 2006 after pleading no contest to driving while intoxicated and pleading guilty to attempted possession of heroin.
He had recently completed shooting "The Informers" with Winona Ryder and Billy Bob Thornton.
Born in Knoxville, Tenn., he was discovered by director Joel Schumacher, who cast him in "The Client" at age 10. He also appeared in "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," "Ghost World," "The Jacket," "Sleepers," "10th and Wolf," "Tom and Huck" and "The Cure."
