CameraVision ’08 wraps up

Toronto, Thursday, May 8, 2008, – Tellavision / Camera Department presented CameraVision 08, Toronto’s first annual post NAB Show event Tuesday. The event was a major success with over two hundred attendees, eighteen workshops and ten interactive demonstration areas.

Tellavision / Camera Department kicked off CameraVision08 with a keynote presentation that focused on the need for information sharing in an effort to improve the overall quality of the community. Tellavision / Camera Department, through focused customer attention have been able to prepare for their future requirements.

During the NAB show overview Sony’s Brian Young, spoke about Sony’s lineup of camera equipment from prosumer to cinema quality. Carlo Beltrano and Stosh Durbacz from Canon and Fujinon spoke about HD lenses and hosted a workshop discussing the theory and practical use of lenses, as well as selecting the right lens and accessories for shoots.

Nasser Mroueh from CineQuipWhite gave onlookers an overview of Panasonics key camera lineup. Ted Schilowitz of Red Digital gave an enthusiastic crowd an overview of Red Products and technologies. The audience took the opportunity to ask questions about future developments and camera functionality. The Red revolution is highly anticipated throughout the Film & Video world and it was great to have Ted Schilowitz via live streaming. Anthony S. Lenzo for Toys 4 Red and ASL was a surprise addition to our Red workshop.

When one of the soundmen asked about their side panel boxes for the Red One, Camera Department called up Anthony and within a couple of minutes he made himself available to join in via the live stream.

Calvin Judges and Reid Robertson from Sony and Panasonic Engineering gave impressive informative sessions on the guts of XDCAM HD technology and the HDX900.
