Blu-ray confab set for Nov. 3

October 13, 2009

Martin Scorsese and Merrill Lynch analyst Jessica Reif Cohen are among the speakers set for Blu-Con 2.0, a Blu-ray Disc conference to be held Nov. 3 in Beverly Hills.

The daylong event, presented by trade org DEG: The Digital Entertainment Group at the Beverly Hilton hotel, also will feature a keynote by Mike Vitelli, exec VP, customer operations groups, at Best Buy.

Ron Sanders, president of Warner Home Video and DEG, said the confab aims to highlight “the critical role that Blu-ray plays in providing nothing less than the most compelling entertainment experience possible.”

Variety is among the sponsors of the event.
