Sim Tech Fair a huge success

Toronto’s Camera Operators, DP’s, Editors and Technicians jammed both floors of exhibits at the “Sim Technology Open House” last Thursday. The exhibits featured; Data Management, Cameras & Lenses, Lighting and Grip along with Post Production hardware and software.

Ensuring the audience forgot about how cold it is this month, belly dancers were provided to act as on-camera test subjects at the event, courtesy of the Arabesque Dance Company.

Kudos are in order, TO411 says: thanks to the staff and management at Sim for stepping up to lead off the first of a string of production and technology events coming up over the next several weeks.

At the open house, TO411 learned that sources at Sim are optimistic about Toronto’s production prospects for 2011. Here are five noteworthy projects recently supplied by Sim Video in Canada and the US .
