Vancouver’s film industry is in mourning today after a female motorcyclist died while performing a movie stunt on the set of Deadpool 2.
The film’s star, Vancouver’s Ryan Reynolds, has issued a statement expressing his sorrow for her family and loved ones.
“My heart pours out to them—along with each and every person she touched in the world,” Reynolds said over Twitter.
Vancouver police say that WorkSafeBC and the B.C. Coroners Service are investigating the crash, which occurred behind the Shaw Tower in downtown Vancouver.
Police remain on the scene as of this writing and the stuntwoman’s name has not been released.
