    Paul Bronfman’s Comweb Group has opened a $20 million film lighting and equipment rental facility in the middle of an expanding west Toronto production studio corridor. The 338,000 square foot facility will house William F. White International, a movie, TV and theatrical production equipment supplier, and Bill White’s 3D Camera Company. Comweb intends to rent out surplus space to other production service companies.

And though this year is bound to be no different, it’s worth noting that Hollywood’s marketers have fallen in love again with a proven outlet for their hit movies: cross-promotion.

Although it is often a genre that draws smaller commercial audience than the more popular narrative fiction genre, that is definitely not the case here, as show after show has been sold out at the largest documentary festival in North America.
