TIFF 2015: Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner and more slated for Q&A sessions

Movie stars Julianne Moore and Salma Hayek, comedian Sarah Silverman and Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner are among the celebrities set to discuss their careers with audiences at the Toronto International Film Festival, it was confirmed on Tuesday.

TIFF organizers say the intimate Q&A sessions — dubbed “In Conversation With” — will offer revealing anecdotes and a peek into upcoming projects.

The number of names appearing on the celebrity guest list has been steadily increasing over the past two weeks with the following stars confirmed as attending:

Jessica Chastain, Matt Damon, Johnny Depp, Rachel McAdams, Helen Mirren and Ryan Reynolds are among the celebrities set to appear at this year’s festival.

Other celebs confirmed to be coming to Toronto include Jeff Daniels, Jesse Eisenberg, John Goodman, Jake Gyllenhaal, Tom Hardy, Liam Hemsworth, Harvey Keitel, Shia LaBeouf, Eddie Redmayne, Emma Roberts, Susan Sarandon, Kristen Stewart and Kate Winslet.

Weiner heads to the festival on the heels of wrapping up his critically acclaimed TV drama Mad Men. He also wrote and directed the feature film Are You Here, featuring Owen Wilson, Zack Galifianakis and Amy Poehler.

Moore’s new projects include the TIFF drama Freeheld, opposite Ellen Page and Michael Shannon, while Hayek has several films set for release this year and next, including the festival selection Septembers of Shiraz.

Silverman stars in the drama I Smile Back, also heading to the festival.

The Toronto International Film Festival runs Sept. 10 to 20
